Letter from Landlord for Raising Rent
Place
Dt.
Dear John,
As you know you have been my tenant for five years now. Let me express my gratitude to you for being a most congenial tenant who, has complied with all my requests regarding maintenance of the property. You have never given any cause for me to complain about the delay in the payment of rent. Usually, relations between landlords and tenants end up being snake and mongoose affairs ending further in court cases. But ours is certainly one of rare understanding. As you are aware, the cost of living is rising day by day. The rent you send us is our main means for sustenance since the death of my husband. I am sure you will understand when I ask you for a nominal rise of Rupees 100/- per month for the rent. So kindly send a cheque of Its 550/- five hundred and fifty rupees only from March, 20… onwards.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Nayantara Bhowmik,
