Letter to Editor against the Standards on Doordarshan

New Delhi.
Sir,
The general standards of news portrayal and reading on Doordarshan is fast deteriorating. The golden days of Melville de Mello our greatest voice on the radio a decade ago seems to have come to an end. News readers nowadays fumble at their texts despite the use of a teleprompter and make numerous pronunciation errors. The visuals often do not match the commentary.
News is something that is watched by millions and there should be no compromise with correct communication.
Yours etc.,
Kitty Amni.
