Sir,
Cable television is a type of neo-colonialism. The West is entering Indian homes through our small screens-like Star-TV and other channels. Young adolescents are being exposed to erotic bed scenes and violent crimes. These are bound to degrade their values. Acharya Agnivesh is right in protesting against cable T.V. More such protests are required for the full impact to be felt on the government. Very strict censorship must be clamped on satellite T.V programmes, otherwise, our cultural values will be doomed even in the villages!
