Sir,
The victory of the BJP in some states in the recent polls in no way indicates that the public has lost their confidence in the ruling party. The elections were generally rigged in most cases and reactionary forces had already been rampant in these states.
A swallow or two do not make a summer. A scandal or two like the Securities Scam do not show a Congress with a lost cause. Scandals and scandal-mongering are part and parcel of all political times.
