Sir,
The recent conference of Third World countries at New Delhi for ‘Education for all’ has once again brought out the need to uplift the women of India by giving them every opportunity to be educated.
Traditional mores prevent many women from venturing forth from their hearth and homestead. Correspondence courses including radio and T.V. programmes can be very useful in bringing education and awareness into the very home for women to benefit while they engage in traditional chores.
The hand that rocks the cradle must be efficient and mentally equipped.
Yours etc.,
Anjali Rath.
