Sir,
The recent victory of the BJP in the bye-elections in M.P. and Delhi point to a lack of confidence in the general public mind against the ruling party. The Harshad Mehta Scam, the failure of the government to tackle terrorist attacks — all indicate the defeat of the Narasimha Rao government. I think it is high time the Rao government took the cue and stepped down.
