Sir,
As you are aware there is a total staff of 5000 working at the Kolar Gold Mines. Most of us bring our own food from the house, but this usually grows cold and is difficult to eat in the cold season.
We request you to sanction the construction of a canteen where food and hot drinks may be served at subsidised rates. This will be a great boon to all ‘the workers and senior staff and will prove conducive to good health and hard work.
